Renault
1898 with only 21 years, Louis Renault built his first automobile in a shed of his parents. As a large demand began, he created with his two brothers the enterprise Renault Frères. In the Second World War Renault had to build automobiles for the German occupants. After allied bombs destroyed his factory, Louis Renault was arrested and accused of the collaboration. He died under unsettled circumstances in the prison. 1945 Renault was put under state control, the Régie Nationale has been founded.
