Audi
August Horch founded Audi in 1909. Horch means in Latin ?Audi?. DKW took over the stricken Audi in 1928. In 1932 Audi and DKW merged with Wanderer and Horch (the former enterprise of August Horch) to Auto Union. Four rings symbolized the four marks involved. 1969 the Auto Union joint together with NSU to the NSU Auto Union. Since 1985 the enterprise is called Audi AG and the four rings have been persisted until today although DKW, Wanderer and Horch are already history.
